In Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, the whole year is punctuated by many events and its votive festival. One of the unmissable events of Saintes Maries de la Mer is the Gypsy pilgrimage. Over three days, May 24, 25 and 26, travelers and tourists gather for this exceptional religious event.

The 11th of November The Abrivado Festival


Each year, 200 herdsmen and 1000 horses gather on the beaches of Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer for the Abrivado Festival. A unique event where all the gardians of Provence are gathered.

Third weekend of June The votive festival

Like all the villages of Provence, Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer has their own votive festival. This event takes place over 6 days. The village is dressed in colors and the party is in full swing. In the town of abrivados, bandidos and bull races will be organized. A unique opportunity to discover the customs and traditions of the Camargue.

The 14th of July La Ferria du cheval

Every year, for more than 20 years, Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer has become the meeting place for Equestrian Arts. This fair sums up the Camargue: the horse, the bull and gypsy music. The streets of the city come alive to the rhythm of parades, presentation of horses and music.

Early September Saladella Festival

This is a unique opportunity to come and visit Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, take a walk by the water and discover the warm and festive atmosphere of the Camargue. Parades and musical entertainment will be on the program.
